Bunting Craft

Make summery bunting for a fete or party – an Activity for Individuals

Method /

  • Lay out a selection of paper, pens and pencils - you could do this on a table or even on a tray if you need to go to your participant(s)
  • Invite your partner to help make some bunting – it can help if you have made some already made for them to look at. It can also help to have music playing in the background to set the mood.
  • Begin by inviting them to decorate the paper that they are going to make their bunting from. You can also provide patterned paper for people who don’t want to do any decorations.
  • Once people they have decorated their paper show them how to fold it into a bunting. You do this by folding the diamond in half over the string with the strong within the fold, then glue the diamond closed.
  • Spend as long on this as you want to either in one session or over a couple of different sessions. If working with several people they could each add to one piece of bunting.
  • Look at bunting that you have made – How does it look? Which designs do you like best? Where may you find bunting like this? What could the theme be?
